Supported the repeal of Section 377A and constitutional amendment
Today, I voted in Parliament to repeal Section 377A of the Penal Code, a British colonial era law that criminalizes sex between men. s377A hurts gay people. It humiliates and disrespects them.
I also voted to protect heterosexual marriage from Constitutional challenge. This means that Parliament, not the courts will decide on the definition of marriage.
